“What Do People Do All Day?” by Richard Scarry
Sweetly drawn animal characters give kids a look at a wide variety of occupations- including grocer, nurse, blacksmith and more- and how each is important. Also looks at jobs in context- for example, a story about building a house talks about heavy equipment operators, plumbers, masons, etc.
